Early Intervention

The key to helping struggling learners is to intervene early. I have a passion for working with young children and helping them crack the code to reading and writing before they can fall behind and lose their confidence. I use the Orton-Gillingham approach to teach children how to read and write. The Orton-Gillingham reading approach is a multisensory, systematic, phonetically-based intervention that has been strongly supported by scientific research through the years. It is also fun and engaging to keep young learners motivated. For my youngest students, we focus on phonemic awareness, which is the foundation for reading, and the biggest indicator of future learning success.
